Job Description

SEBASTIAN CONSTRUCTION GROUP, a 70-year old Dallas-based general contracting firm specializing in high-end residential construction, is looking for an exceptional Superintendent to join our Houston team.

The candidate should have experience in coordinating and directing all job-site activities including but not limited to:

  • Review of plans, details, and specifications to identify potential issues.
  • Experience with shop drawings for "constructability" issues and compliance to job conditions and contract documents.
  • Resolving all daily construction issues on-site and when necessary deals directly with architects and engineers on problem areas.
  • Verification of all control measures and elevations.
  • Experience with developing and follow-up of punch lists during construction.
  • Job safety
  • Daily Field Reports
  • Conducts subcontractor meetings
  • Initiating RFIs

Requirements

  • Some college, with an emphasis in Construction Science is desirable
  • 7-10 years minimum experience in a construction supervisory position with general knowledge of all aspects of high-end construction preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam preferable
  • Professional demeanor and appearance

Project Manager

Job Description

The candidate should have experience:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the project from inception through completion including budget, schedule, quality and personnel to ensure the project’s success. Directing all facets of the project including but not limited to:  administering all aspects of contracts; develops and responsible for project budget and schedule; resolution of project issues in a timely manner; administers and responsible for project commencement activities, job cost accounting, change order development and tracking, submittal processing, distribution of revised plans and A.S.I.s, submission and follow-up of R.F.I.s, project meetings, status reports/Open Items List and punch lists.

Requirements

  • A degree in Construction Management required
  • 7 years minimum experience in a project management position with general knowledge of all aspects of high-end construction
  • Corecon, a plus; Microsoft Office proficiency; Bluebeam
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
